3 апреля в пресс-центре ИД «Аргументы и факты» состоялась традиционная пресс-конференция телеканала Муз-ТВ, на которой были подведены итоги экспертного голосования и обнародованы номинанты VI Ежегодной национальной телевизионной Премии в области популярной музыки «Муз-ТВ 2008».
Также были объявлены Специальные гости Церемонии вручения в этом году: на Премии выступит певица Дженнифер Лопес и группа «30 Seconds to Mars».
